After two weeks away from the Whites, it was wonderful to get back in the mountains this past Sunday. The forecast called for low winds but foggy conditions in the mountains, so I did not expect to have any photo opportunities on our excursion up Moosilauke. That said, I was pleasantly surprised! The cloud deck stayed much higher than predicted, and we were treated to some tremendous views. Moreover, it was exciting to finally hike with my good friend Sue, who is working on her winter Trailwrights list. A few Instagram pictures…
The long-term forecast is shaping up to be just stellar for this weekend, so I’m looking forward to a few days of beautiful hiking up in the mountains. Hopefully I’ll have more pictures to share over the next few days…
